The Pet Fair’s Adoptathon is the largest annual adoption event in the Bay Area. In 2007, almost 50 non profit adoption and rescue groups brought dogs, cats, rats, birds, guinea pigs, rabbits and other companion animals to the Fair. Two hundred animals found new forever homes during the 2007 Adoptathon.
Adopting at the Fair
If you are thinking about adopting an animal at the Fair, please understand that each participating agency has its own rules about whether you can take the animal home that day, what criteria you must meet as an adopter, etc. Some may require you to first foster the animal you’d like to adopt. Please read the Pet Fair & Adoptathon FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) for more details.
The OTHER Dog Show
This “event within an event” showcases adoptable pets—and not just dogs and cats! Please join use each day at the Performance Ring for a unique and friendly competition; consult the schedule for times. More information
